Through the years, Sylvan Oaks Library has seen circulation, programs, and attendance increase dramatically. The City Council is proud to support these enhanced services as a means to improve quality of life in Citrus Heights for our residents. The city and Sacramento Public Library have partnered on many projects such as increased library hours and improved technology such as:
- 13 additional hours per week of library services to the community (year to year)
- The purchase of 2 early childhood literacy computers
- The purchase of 1 computer workstation for the visually impaired
- The purchase of some merchandising furniture and display fixtures
- The purchase of laptop computer lab with 20 computers and 1 printer
- Creation of consistent opening hours of operation on Friday and Saturday with a total of 4 additional hours of service every week
