Project Plans
The San Juan Unified Board of Education approved $27.3 million in facility upgrades for San Juan High School on Greenback Lane and Mariposa Avenue in Citrus Heights. Upgrades will be made to provide state-of the-art facilities for career programs in engineering, transportation technology, construction, and digital arts, media, and entertainment.
This is a huge first step to make San Juan High School a true 21st-Century high school. The City of Citrus Heights has worked closely with the SJUSD Board of Education and staff to provide a strong voice in support of making significant investments in San Juan High School. The City Council has written letters of support, attended board meetings, and had many conversations about the importance of a strong vital high school presence at San Juan.
The changes that have been approved will have a tremendous impact on transforming the school both academically and physically.
