  • Open any day with forecasted temperatures of 100 degrees and higher 
  • Open from 12 p.m. until temperatures drop below 100 degrees, but no earlier than 8 p.m.

Cold Weather

The City of Citrus Heights supports the Citrus Heights Homeless Assistance Resource Team annually to encourage those needing a warming center to participate in the Winter Sanctuary to receive free resources.

Inclement Weather Notice

SacRT Free Rides Extended to Activated Weather Respite Centers Tue., February 4, 2025 to Mon. February 10, 2025 SacRT has partnered with the City of Sacramento and Sacramento County to provide free rides on fixed-route bus and light rail to and from weather respite centers located within SacRT’s service area.

To ride free, screenshot or print this free ride flyer and present it to the bus operator upon boarding, or show light rail fare inspection staff upon request.
