Upcoming Roadwork

The General Services Department along with our local utility companies and other community partnerships would like to keep Citrus Heights residents aware of detours, road closures, and other planned events that impact traffic. These events may include night work, traffic signals on flash, or delays for construction and public safety. 

Pacific Gas & Electric Gas Main Replacement - Auburn & Antelope

PG&E will be replacing aging infrastructure and install new shut off valves to existing neighborhoods on the Auburn & Antelope corridors. Watson Way will be impacted at the corner of Auburn Bl where a new valve installation will take place. Southbound Auburn Bl will be closed at Antelope Rd to allow work in the intersection. Additionally, Antelope Rd will be affected many nights with a lane closure in the WB direction at Rollingwood Dr. 

Anticipate delays and detours. To reduce traffic congestion during the daytime commute hours, all work will be done at night and there will be significant detours to accommodate commuters and enhance the safety of the work crew.  Southbound Auburn Bl will be rerouted onto Antelope Rd to Mariposa Av to Old Auburn Rd. ***EARLY CLOSURES*** at 6:00 PM Tuesday, September 13 at Antelope Rd & Rollingwood Dr and also at Auburn Bl & Watson Way. The Auburn Blvd & Antelope Rd intersection will close at 9:00 PM as scheduled.
