The Stock Ranch Nature Preserve is a 47-acre open-space park with over 1.5 miles of walking paths along the Arcade and San Juan creeks. In 2011, the California Department of Parks and Recreation awarded a grant to the city to add educational components to the existing Stock Ranch Nature Preserve in order to create outdoor learning opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and incomes.
The Stock Ranch Nature Preserve is located behind Costco and Wal-Mart (7000 Auburn Boulevard) or accessible from Fountain Square Drive/Stock Ranch Road, near Van Maren Park.
The Preserve is home to a variety of educational and interactive displays including: 1. Native/Drought Tolerant Landscape Garden
2. Wetland Exhibit
3. Bird/Waterfowl Viewing Area
