Zoning Code Update 2025
To align with the City Council's strategic goal of "Diversifying for a Vibrant Economy," the City Council has adopted an Economic Work Plan for 2025-2027. This plan serves as the policy framework to support business development and improve regulatory processes. As part of this effort, the City has reviewed key zoning documents, including the Zoning Ordinance, The Boulevard Plan, and the Stock Ranch Guide for Development. This review has led to proposals for amending these documents to streamline zoning and permitting procedures.
Zoning regulations guide both existing and new developments, including where certain types of businesses can operate. While zoning is crucial for protecting the environment and preventing land use conflicts, it is also important to find a balance that supports business growth without creating unnecessary barriers.
We encourage your participation in this process. Public input is vital in reviewing the proposed changes and helping identify any issues that may not be addressed in the amendments.
