The Non-profit Community Support Fund Program is a vital resource dedicated to strengthening and improving the overall quality of life in Citrus Heights. This program provides financial assistance to non-profits that provide services to residents of Citrus Heights. 

Eligibility

Funding is designated for non-profit organizations that provide services to residents of Citrus Heights.

Available Funding

The City of Citrus Heights is pleased to announce the availability of $150,000 in grant funding for eligible applicants in Fiscal Year 2024/2025. This funding is intended to support projects and initiatives that align with the program's objective to strengthen and improve the overall quality of life in Citrus Heights by providing financial assistance to non-profits that provide services to residents. 

Schedule

The Non-Profit Community Support Fund application period is closed. The Fiscal Year 2024/2025 Application Period was open from Tuesday, July 16th, to Friday, August 16th, 2024. All applications were due by the program deadline of 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 16th, 2024.

Application Process & Materials

Interested applicants are encouraged to review the detailed guidelines and criteria outlined below in the application process:

  • STEP 1: Review the Non-profit Community Support Fund Program Guidelines
  • STEP 2: Review the Non-profit Community Support Fund Review and Approval Process
  • STEP 3: Review the Nonprofit Community Support Fund Program Rubric
  • STEP 4: Fill in all fields and sign the  Non-profit Community Support Fund Program Application Form
  • STEP 5: Create the "Project Plan & Description". Attach the following details to the application in a separate file using a maximum of three (3) pages.
    • A description of how funding will be used including steps for implementation, schedule for completion, and expected outcomes
    • Indicate the anticipated number of Citrus Heights residents served
    • List all prior City of Citrus Heights funding awarded (city-administered grants, CDBG funds, etc.) to your organization over the past five (5) years
    • Is your organization applying for 2025 CDBG funds and if so, for what amount?
    • Attach a copy of IRS Determination Letter verifying non-profit designation
  • STEP 6: Create the "Project Budget & Grant Request". Attach the following details to the application using a maximum of two (2) pages.
    • What is the total proposed program/project costs?
    • Detail all current and anticipated funding sources. List other organizations/agencies for which your organization will receive funding for this project.
    • For ongoing programs, describe how your organization will fund future expenses.
    • How much of the total project costs is your organization requesting from the City?
    • Describe how the funding requested serves only Citrus Heights residents
  • STEP 7: Submit the application packet, including the application form, "Project Plan & Description", "Project Budget & Grant Request", and 503c3 verification document, via email, mail, or in-person drop-off.

Submitting Your Application

Submit your application packet via one of the below options:  

  • Email the completed application packet to communityengagement@citrusheights.net 
  • Mail the completed application packet to Citrus Heights City Hall, 6360 Fountain Square Drive, Citrus Heights, CA 95621 Attn: Community Engagement 
  • Drop off the completed application packet to City Hall (address above) front desk Attn: Community Engagement
