Who We Are?

Founded in 2016, the Auburn Boulevard Business Association (ABBA) is a non-profit membership association that represents the business and property owners between Sylvan Corners and I-80, with a common interest of creating “historical community pride” that re-energizes the downtown area and increases customer traffic.

Historical Significance of Auburn Blvd

Did you know that Auburn Blvd. is part of the Lincoln Highway, a national historic corridor, that runs from San Francisco to Atlantic City, New Jersey? It was created in 1913 to celebrate the automobile and encourage leisurely driving.

Our Goals

The ultimate goal of our association is to mutually benefit local businesses, and the surrounding community, while promoting our unique historical past. Additional goals are to:

  • Improve public areas and decor, including promotional banners and directional signs
  • Identify public safety priorities (crime prevention and homelessness)
  • Support local businesses, with website advertising, promotional materials, along with business advocacy, and educational resources
  • Create a “signature” event that highlights the historical significance of Auburn Boulevard
