Leslie Blomquist was appointed City Engineer in July 2020. As City Engineer, Leslie oversees all engineering aspects for the City including the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), traffic engineering, drainage engineering, and land development functions. She brings nearly 20 years of experience in the field of traffic engineering and capital project management.
Leslie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo and has been with the City of Citrus Heights since 2015. In 2018, Leslie was named the American Public Works Association (APWA) Sacramento Chapter Manager of the Year in Technology and in 2020 she was selected as one of the Top 40 Under 40 professionals in the greater Sacramento region by the Sacramento Business Journal for career accomplishments and community service. Leslie has helped lead efforts in securing over $34.5 Million in grant funds for the City, and was the Project Manager for the award winning Mariposa Avenue Safe Routes to School, Phase 4 Project (APWA Sacramento Chapter Project of the Year, 2022).
